The NCAA Tournament is just around the corner, and the Wisconsin Badgers will look to put the finishing touches on their resume this weekend as they hope to make a run in the Big Ten Tournament.
Wisconsin has been a No. 5 seed in each of the last two conference tournaments, pushing
its way through to the Championship Game in both years before falling short. Once again, they’re a No. 5 seed in this year’s tournament, and will face the winner of the Washington Huskies and the USC Trojans on Thursday afternoon.
After the Big Ten Tournament comes the real test, though, as the Badgers have seen some quality teams come and go over the past few seasons without much tournament success. Wisconsin has failed to make it to the second weekend of the tournament since 2017, despite having a few high seeds.
This year’s group has been through its fair share of ups and downs, struggling in big games earlier in the season before flipping a switch and securing eight Quad 1 wins, including ones over Michigan, Michigan State, Purdue, and Illinois.
They’ve proven they can beat any team in the country, but they’ve also had some lapses and can be a streaky team with their three-point shooting and defense.
Where will the Badgers ultimately go in March? Will they bow out early or find a way to make a run? In our weekly Reacts poll, vote on the Badgers’ season outcome above and let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
