The NFL season kicked off on Wednesday night in Seattle, and it was a rough evening for quarterbacks Sam Darnold (injured hip) and Drake Maye (three interceptions).
Last night brought the first look at Myles Garrett in the uniform of the Los Angeles Rams, as they took on the San Francisco 49ers in Melbourne, Australia. Not sure how to feel about the prospect of the Cleveland Browns ever playing a game there. It would be a fun trip for fans, no doubt, but it is about a 21-to-23 hour flight from Cleveland to Melbourne, which
does not sound like fun.
Speaking of the Browns, there was only one change on the injury report, and it might be a big one as offensive guard Teven Jenkins did not practice as he is still dealing with a back injury. If he is unable to go on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, we may see the debut of rookie Austin Barber, the team’s third-round selection.
As for the rest of the injured, linebacker Carson Schwesinger was once again a full participant, while defensive tackle Maliek Collins (quad) and center Parker Brailsford (thumb) were limited.
