Only one game Monday as Louisville heads to Chapel Hill with both traditional powers playing erratically.
Louisville is 20-7/9-5 while UNC is 21-6/9-5. the Cardinals had won five straight before losing to SMU. Most recently they beat Georgia Tech.
As for UNC, the Tar Heels are 2-2 since losing at Miami. The last three games, they did not have Caleb Wilson, who injured his hand against the Hurricanes. Henri Veesaar missed the Pitt and NC State games, which obviously hurt.
As for the Cardinals, Mikel
Brown has been up and down since returning from his back injury. He was unbelievable against NC State, but in the other games, he’s been more mortal.
Someone has to lose obviously and whoever does is going to fall a step down the ACC ladder. This is a bit unusual: the ACC has four ranked teams. Two are at the top – #3 Duke (possibly #1 on Monday after Beating Michigan) and #14 Virginia.
The other two are #16 UNC and #21 Louisville, tied for 6th place.
