Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the MLB. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Yankees fans and fans across the country.
There are quite a few factors the Yankees need to address to keep their AL campaign on track.
It’s impossible to ignore the hole that Judge, Bellinger, and Stanton left in the offense since they landed on the IL. Barely dodging the sweep last weekend, the Yankees recorded 15 hits, six runs, and 26 strikeouts in the three-game series against
the Blue Jays.
New acquisitions Luis García Jr. and Heliot Ramos still have a lot to prove, especially after their questionable performance against Toronto. García Jr. committed an egregious double fielding error that brought in Vladmir Guerrero Jr. for the game-tying run in the series opener and has a .664 OPS since joining the Pinstripes. Ramos recorded a double in the extra-inning win on Sunday night, but he is maintaining a 26.2 strikeout percentage since arriving in the Bronx.
The Yankees remain 6.5 games back from the Rays as they head to Camden Park for a three-game series against the Orioles. If you had to choose, what would you argue is the biggest setback keeping the Yankees from securing the American League?
