With Selection Sunday in the rearview mirror, it’s time to look at the path forward for Miami Hurricanes Men’s Basketball. A 7 seed in the West Region, Miami has a favorable matchup in the 1st round, then a probable game against 2 seed Purdue,
the Big 10 tournament champions, in the round of 32, which would be among their toughest tests of the year.
Like always, our friends at FanDuel have released some lines for the tournament. We’re going to look at the overall odds, and the opening odds for the opening game of this year’s NCAA tournament for the Miami Hurricanes. All lines referenced (and more) can be found by clicking this link.
Round of 64
For the round of 64 (the first round, but I’m not going to argue semantics right now), the Canes open as favorites to survive and advance. Here are the particulars:

We’ll dive into this matchup more through the week, but in general, I think Miami should be competitive at a minimum, and win if they play the way they have for the majority of the season (and not the abomination of the ACC Tournament semifinals).
