What is the story about?
On Tuesday, the WNBA and the Associated Press named Washington Mystics guard Sonia Citron the WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week for games played between June 15 to 21, 2026. This is her first time getting the honor.
During this past week, the Mystics have won three games in a row, two of them against championship contenders (wins over the New York Liberty and Minnesota Lynx). She averaged 21 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 2 steals per game.
We’ll have another chance to see Citron continue
her sophomore season tomorrow when the Mystics host the Lynx at home. It’s safe to say that Washington Wizards forward AJ Dybantsa will be there. And hopefully Citron and the Mystics will keep this winning run going.
