Bayern Munich are three games into the 2025/26 Bundesliga season, and one thing remains consistent, Harry Kane is on an absolute tear. The Englishman has been prolific in front of goal, scoring five goals in three matches in the Bundesliga. But he’s not only been a lethal finisher, Kane has been pulling the creative strings as well, picking up three assists in as many games.
It is clear that Harry Kane is a world-class striker, perhaps even the world’s best. However, beyond the individual, what other
factors are at play in Kane’s tremendous success at Bayern? Well, the 32-year-old striker believes the way Vincent Kompnay’s team plays suits him perfectly.
“This team suits me a lot: the way we play, the way we press, it gives me space and it gives me chances to get on the ball; I have runners in behind,” said Kane on the back of Die Rekordmeister’s 5-0 thumping of Hamburger SV (via @MiaSanMia).
While Kane has been immaculate, Bayern haven’t exactly played teams of a high quality. It remains to be seen whether last season’s Bundesliga top scorer can maintain his form against Europe’s elite. Although, you can only beat what’s in front of you, and Kane has beaten it to a pulp.
