TNA has a quick turnaround from the Sacrifice special event to the Rebellion PPV on April 11 from Cleveland, Ohio. For that reason, five matches have been announced, however, the world title main event is still unclear.
The current card for TNA Rebellion includes:
- TNA World Tag Team Championship: Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy (c) vs. Brian Myers & Bear Bronson
- X-Division Championship: Leon Slater (c) vs. Cedric Alexander
- TNA International Championship: Trey Miguel (c) vs. Mustafa Ali
- Mickie James, ODB, & Taryn Terrell vs. Ash, Heather, & M by Elegance in Hardcore County Match
- Frankie Kazarian vs. Elijah
These contests all fit within ongoing storylines. The System are cashing in the Feast or Fired tag title shot. Due to visa issues for Leon Slater earlier this year, Cedric Alexander was never granted his X-Division title match until now.
Mustafa Ali and Order 4 are bullying Trey Miguel, and the sights are set on taking his gold. Knockouts legends are uniting to shut up the Elegance Brand. The King of TNA looks down on Elijah, so it is time to settle that beef.
The real intrigue comes to the world title picture. Mike Santana stands tall with the TNA World Championship. Nic Nemeth can cash in at any time with the Call Your Shot trophy, and he is eager to do so in his hometown of Cleveland. Eddie Edwards also has a title shot in his pocket from Feast or Fired. He declared that Rebellion will be the night when the System wins all the gold. Steve Maclin may be in the mix as well. In the main event of Sacrifice, the match was thrown out after Maclin was unable to continue due to being legitimately knocked silly. Thankfully for Maclin, he was given a clean bill of health and cleared of concussion symptoms. TNA has a TV taping on Saturday night to film the episodes carrying through to Sacrifice. I’m assuming that it is unlikely for Maclin to make a quick turnaround and wrestle Santana to close that storyline. Thus, Maclin still has claim for a title shot. TNA will need to sort all this out to determine the main event for Rebellion.
