Cooper Flagg has had an interesting few days.
First, he had a breakout game at Milwaukee on Monday. Then, Tuesday morning, the Dallas Mavericks fired GM Nico Harrison.
After that, Flagg’s mother, Kelly,
posted some comments after the firing that were misconstrued (she clarified what she meant).
And he also has his first NBA injury.
It’s no big deal – it’s apparently a relatively minor thumb injury and it may not cost him any time.
It just sort of tops off a crazy week for the #1 pick.
Meanwhile his former Duke teammate, Kon Knueppel, has emerged as the current leader for Rookie of the Year. Given that many people ripped Charlotte for drafting him, that’s beautiful.
