The Detroit Lions preseason comes to a merciful end on Saturday afternoon with a 1 p.m. ET bout with the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium.
While it’s not the most exciting game to watch from a casual fan standpoint, don’t make the mistake of calling this a “meaningless game.” For a few dozen players on each side of the ball, Saturday’s performance could be the difference between continuing to play the game they love and finding a new career pathway. While that may sound dramatic, it’s the reality
of the situation. Put out good film during the game, and there will be a team that finds it, even if it’s not Detroit. Struggle to elevate your game during the high stakes, and football may not be in your future.
While the majority of Detroit’s 53-man roster has likely already been decided, the last few spots will be up for grabs in Indy. So if you want to check it out, adjust your own 53-man roster projections, and just enjoy some football, join our live chat in the comment section below.
