Barcelona players have posted some pretty defiant reactions to their recent bad results against Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey and Girona in La Liga.
Manager Hansi Flick gave his players two days off after the reverse at Montilivi in a bid to try and reset at a critical point in the season.
Raphinha has already shared his thoughts on Instagram, posting: “Well, we have many things to improve, but not just us. It’s very complicated when the rules are different, whether they’re in your favor or against
you, but if we have to play against everyone to win, so be it… We’ll do it. Visca el Barça always.”
And he’s not the only player ready for the fight. Eric Garcia has also posted a message to fans and made it crystal clear the team are not giving up just yet.
“Days to recharge our batteries and recover from two bad results. Self criticism and work. Let no one doubt that we will stand up and fight for all the titles,” he said.
Goalkeeper Joan Garcia had a similar message to fans: “[Girona] did not go as we wanted it to.. but we will come back stronger than ever!” Pau Cubarsi posted a picture of himself in Barca colors and the message: “In good times, but even more so in bad times.”
That’s exactly the kind of mentality that Flick will demand from his players when they get back to work on Thursday to prepare for the game against Levante.
“Everyone is disappointed. We will fight. We have time to come back now in the next two weeks with no midweek games,” he said after the game againt Girona.
“We will train good and come back for Sunday. Now we have to fight and attack the first place in the table.”
