Given the state of the Cleveland Guardians in 2025, you’re either desperate to turn your attention to 2026 or dreading another season. Read more below to see what you’ve got to anticipate/fear!
-Opening Road Trip: March 26th-April 1st – Seven game road trip to the Mariners and Dodgers. -Opening Day Against the Cubs: It’s on April 3rd which is Good Friday (perhaps only something that I’ve noticed given my day job, but Opening Day in Cleveland has almost always been Good Friday for the past few years).
-One AL Central Series Before May 4th – The Guardians play the Royals in April. That’s it for the first month. -They Play the Royals, Twins and Tigers in May and the month ends with what should be a fun, home series vs. the Red Sox -All the White Sox series are from June onwards, which could be helpful. -The Pirates, Padres, Giants, Diamondbacks and Mets all visit Progressive Field. The Nationals also visit but, who cares? -There is a weird sequence in which the Guardians play the Yankees six times in 10 days in June. They also have their longest road trip of the season in June, 9 games against the Brewers, Astros and White Sox. Let’s not have a 2026 June like we had a 2025 June, k? -IF the Guardians can sort out a variety of problems they have right now, ending the season playing the Twins, White Sox, Athletics and Royals in 12 out of 15 games could be good (expecting a bit of a stepback for the Royals and Twins in 2026, while acknowleding they probably think we are close to tanking our brains out). The final home game is kinda early on September 20th.
So, there you go! Now, all we have to do is find our way to a competent lineup and a starting pitcher staff that can be remotely consistent and all that sounds like a fun time.
