According to a report from Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich is working on a new contract for youth striker Philipp von Taube:
Despite interest from clubs both domestic and abroad, positive talks are currently underway with U17 striker Philipp von Taube about a possible new contract. His current contract runs only until the summer. The striker himself dreams of a successful future at Bayern.
No doubt, Von Taube is a unique talent. How unique? Check out this tidbit from media personality
José I. Araoz (@Gazpachen):
A NOBLE COULD DEBUT AT BAYERN.
Philipp von Taube is one of the biggest prospects in Bayern’s under-17 team. He has 17 goals and 4 assists in 21 matches played, and Kompany already brought him up to the first team during last Monday’s public training session.
The craziest part is that he belongs to the NOBLE Taube family. A Baltic-German family settled in Jutland, whose origins trace back to Westphalia. The most famous member of the family clan is Hedvig Ulrika Taube, who was a lady-in-waiting at the Swedish court and the royal mistress of King Frederick I of Sweden.
However, since nobility was abolished in Germany in 1919, Philipp and his family live like any ordinary people. His parents work full-time jobs and, according to BILD, they constantly try to instill humility in him.
Yeah, this is wild.
