We talked a bit last week about some of the long odds that the Carolina Panthers face for the 2025 regular and post season, per FanDuel Sportsbook. To recap, FanDuel Sportsbook has set the Panthers over/under for winning 5.5 games at -210/+175, and has them at +260 to make the playoffs and +10,000 to win Super Bowl LX. Those are the 26th best postseason odds in the league.
They have Carolina at +410 to win the NFC South, behind the Atlanta Falcons and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers—more on this tomorrow.
And they only have one player predicted to have a notable season based on individual statistics.
The trust in the Panthers passing game is low, with Fan Duel listing Bryce Young at +330 to finish the season with 4,000 or more passing yards. That’s 25th among the 28 quarterbacks they listed odds for. The real love this season is coming for the unproven rookie with the excellent college and training camp highlight reel. Tetairoa McMillan is rightly expected to lead the Panthers receivers and is the only player at that position FanDuel is offering odds for before the season:
Tetairoa McMillan is being held at -220 to have 750+ receiving yards, +135 to have 1,000+ receiving yards, and +100 to have 6+ receiving touchdowns.
Last year, Adam Thielen led the team with 615 receiving yards and five touchdowns. He also had the Panthers last 1,000 yard season for a wide receiver in 2023. D.J. Moore had a 1,000 yard season in Carolina in 2021 and had seven touchdowns in 2022, but never eclipsed 1,000 yards and six touchdowns in the same season with the Panthers.
The last Carolina Panthers draft pick to do that was Kelvin Benjamin in his 2014 rookie campaign. He posted 73 receptions for 1,008 yards and nine touchdowns after being targeted on 145 of the team’s 545 passing attempts that season.
