Almost 33 years ago Florida State won its first national championship; Hall of Famer Derrick Brooks relived the entire season on Freddie Stevenson’s podcast. Some very unfortunate news for one of FSU’s 2026 signees. QB Jaden O’Neal will miss the entire 2026 season due to a recent ACL injury; first reported by Zach Blostein of 247Sports.
Recruiting:
FSU received a double dose of good news yesterday at the linebacker position.
Southern Miss Linebacker, Chris Jones, who originally committed to Ole Miss will transfer to Florida State instead.
UNC Linebacker Mikai Gbayor will also be a Seminole; assuming his waiver for his final year of eligibility is approved.

FSU Baseball lost some major contributors from the infield and the outfield but the most change comes in the pitching group as the 2026 Seminoles will feature 13 new arms to deploy.
