Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley won the WWE women’s tag team championship two weeks ago on SmackDown with a victory over Fatal Influence. Surely the babyfaces would retain the belts in their first title defense on tonight’s (Oct. 23) episode against Michin and B-Fab. Right?
Nope!
Things broke down late in the bout when Jade Cargill interfered to attack Paxley when the referee wasn’t paying attention. Michin followed up with a Styles Clash to win the match and the gold.
I’d call this a shocking results seeing how Paxley and Bliss didn’t get to do anything with the belts before WWE made a change.
How do you feel about WWE playing hot potato with the women’s tag team championship? Will The Baddies drop the belts to a different team very soon? Let me know in the comments below, Cagesiders.
