On Wednesday (Sept. 30, 2026), former heavyweight boxing champions Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua
sat down for a press conference ahead of their Netflix-streamed fight card, which is scheduled for Fri., Dec. 11, 2026 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.Fury vs. Joshua has been an in-demand matchup for a decade now, and yet a major part of the narrative is the feud between promoters Eddie Hearn and Dana White. Hearn and Matchroom Boxing represent Anthony Joshua, while White and Zuffa Boxing would
like to be part of the process on the Fury side. However, Joshua’s contract allegedly forbids White from being involved in the promotion of the event, which reportedly put the entire bout in jeopardy.
Coincidentally, White did not attend the press conference.
White’s lack of attendance didn’t present his name from coming up, however. When Turki Alalshikh brought up White’s name, the English crowd loudly booed the UFC CEO … much to the delight of Hearn, who looked on with a huge smile plastered across his face.
Check it out:
“Big thanks to my brother — who’s suddenly not here today — Dana White,” Alalshikh said. When the boos heated up at the mention of White, Alalshikh followed up, “This is between you and them, not me.”
Perhaps the boxing world won’t be so easy to take over after all?
