Sarr to miss remainder of EuroBasket with injury

Wizards forward Alex Sarr will miss the remainder of EuroBasket 2025 with a right calf injury, France announced Tuesday.

Sarr, 20, played meaningful bench minutes for France throughout EuroBasket but

will now be sideline for the rest of the tournament.

The Athletic’s Joshua Robbins reported that Sarr’s injury won’t require surgery and that Wizards officials expect him to be ready for the start of the 2025-26 season.

Wizards training camp begins on Sept. 29. It’s unclear if Sarr will be ready to play by that date.
