The undefeated No. 2 Texas Longhorns (5-0) host another top-10 showdown at the Greg facing the No. 9 Arizona State Sun Devils (6-1). The Sun Devils look to heat things up for the Longhorns in a fifth top-10 match in the first six weeks of the 2025 season.
Senior setter Sydney Henry operates the Sun Devils offense with 193 assists and provides support for the defense shoveling 53 digs, and holding down the net recording five blocks. Senior outside hitter Bailey Miller leads ASU’s attack with 82 kills,
adding nine aces and 70 digs. Graduate middle blocker Colby Neal paces the defense with 34 blocks and a matching 34 kills, in addition to serving 6 aces. Junior middle blocker Ella Lomigora is a defensive force with 31 blocks and 34 kills on offense. Senior outside hitter Tatum Parrott aids with 73 kills, 47 digs, and 12 blocks while sophomore libero Faith Frame holds the back line with 90 digs and 24 assists. ASU’s only loss in hte 2025 season is to No. 9 Pitt.
The Longhorns look to extend their undefeated streak behinds the attacking prowess of junior outside hitter Torrey Stafford who continues to dominate the court with power and precision, leading Texas with 83 kills and adding six blocks. Ayden Ames and Nya Bunton both hold the net down each with 21 blocks and senior libero Emma Halter holds the back line down with 73 digs. Junior setter Ella Swindle leads the Longhorns in assists with 156. The growth and confidence of true freshman outside hitters Cari Spears and Abby Vander Wal’s shows each game with a combined 107 kills with junior transfer standout liberos Ramsey Gary and Anja Kujundzic inspiring the team’s on-court consistency with their hustle.
