His last start was in the Giants’ 3-0 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers last Thursday, in which he allowed three runs on seven hits with five strikeouts and two walks in seven innings.
He’ll be facing off against Phillies left-hander
Cristopher Sánchez, who enters today’s game with a 2.94 ERA, 2.62 FIP, with 43 strikeouts to 10 walks in 33.2 innings pitched. His last start was in the Phillies’ 8-7 loss to the Chicago Cubs on Thursday, in which he allowed six runs on 12 hits with four strikeouts and two walks in five and a third innings.
