Earlier Friday, Fandango released an FAQ regarding its streaming of Bundesliga games and let us tell you, it was not well-received.
Because many fans went into the day expecting to be able to watch the match on their televisions, it was a very tough scene for many who came to the reality that they would need to view the game on a phone or laptop (well, most phones and laptops, but not all).
While claiming they had answers, Fandango, in fact, did not have many good solutions and might have created more
questions for an angry mob:
This is how it shook out on what had to be a very rough day for the Fandango social media team:
Even Borussia Dortmund fans were unhappy:
When people were not just displeased with the streaming availability debacle, they were angry about other issues:
This person had a wild swing of emotions:
All ended well in this case, though:
Then there was this exchange when the social media person tried to direct people to the FAQ, which was essentially going make everyone bitter:
As you would expect, the exchange was not what Fandango wanted to see:
It is completely fair to wonder how this was the plan. Yes, the contract was agreed upon late, but being able to be viewed on major phones, tablets, and televisions is sort, of, well…a necessity.
