The second preseason game of the year gets underway for the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday night, and you are going to want to have your pot of coffee ready as kickoff isn’t until 10 pm ET. Buckle up.
As the preseason continues to roll on so do the unofficial depth charts. NFL teams are required to submit these in advance of preseason games, but they all highly stress the unofficial nature of them.
Here is what the Cowboys have offered ahead of Saturday night’s tilt against the Arizona Cardinals.
There
are very few differences between the latest unofficial depth chart and the one that Dallas released before the preseason began last week. Obviously Von Miller is featured here, though. And the team seemingly forgot to remove the name of Traeshon Holden from the depth chart.
The Cowboys still notably have some “or” designations at a handful of areas where roster battles are underway. They are between three different pairs of players:
- Joe Milton and Sam Howell
- Marist Liufau and Sam Williams
- Shavon Revel and Cobie Durant
When it comes to these specific roster battles the only one that figures to be of critical nature is the one between Liufau and Williams. The pairs of Milton/Howell and Revel/Durant are more competing for placements on the roster where Liufau and Williams are likely contending for a single spot. The Von Miller signing somewhat underscores that a bit.
