The Las Vegas Raiders are off to a 2-0 start without their superstar tight end, Brock Bowers. Klint Kubiak has kept the offense afloat, averaging 26 points per game while the former Georgia Bulldog has missed time.
Kubiak and his offensive coaching staff are excited that he is likely to line up. During his weekly Thursday press conference, the offensive coordinator expressed his excitement for his return.
“Yeah, he’s a tremendous player, brings a unique set of skills, both in the run and pass game.
Something that as he as he progresses and gets ready to go again, we’re excited when he’s ready to go to get him back.“
Janocko sees the confidence growing during Bowers’ absence the first two weeks. He thinks it has made offense better as a unit.
“I think it gives everybody confidence that everybody can go in, do their job in the way
we see fit. That they can go in, they can play different guys, can play different positions. We can maximize
different skill sets in different ways and execute the offense.”
With Bowers back, the Raiders have a chance to start 3-0 for the first time since 2021. That 3-0 team went on to play in the NFL Wildcard round. Bowers on the field makes it all possible.
