We live in a college football world of lists, rankings, and countdowns. Many players on Notre Dame’s roster have been talked about and written about over the last few months — so let’s fall in line.
This will be my official Top 20 Notre Dame Football Players ranking. I will unveil each player, and list the three things I like about them. It seems simple enough, but I have no doubt that some of these ratings will be highly criticized, but you can always share your thoughts in the comments below.
#17 Mylan Graham WR
Hometown
Hero
Mylan Graham is from New Haven High School just outside of Fort Wayne — so no, this isn’t the South Bend kid, but it’s all the same. Fort Wayne is very much Notre Dame football territory, and I’ve long called for a fence to be put around the Summit City. There’s always some good talent there, and that talent should be Notre Dame’s to lose.
Brian Hartline
Graham was recruited by Brian Hartline and went to Ohio State, where he was coached by Hartline. It’s not a stretch to say that Ohio State has had the best WR room in the country for a number of years, and the fact that Graham was there says a lot about his talent and the upside he brings to the field.
He looks the part
Ever since Mylan Graham stepped on campus, he has looked like a wide receiver Notre Dame hasn’t had in quite some time. His athleticism isn’t just speed or quantified by any sort of measurable, it’s how insanely smooth he looks while running routes and making plays. This is absolutely a 5-Star talent that will now have the opportunity to shine with a quarterback like CJ Carr.
