The United States Women’s National Team are abroad in a place they hope to be next summer, as they line up today in a road friendly against Brazil in São Paulo. The USWNT continue to line up tough friendlies, but now they take their game to the road against a familiar opponent: the 2027 Women’s World Cup hosts.
It’s possible that for the first time since the 2024 Olympic gold medal match 604 days ago, we could see the “Triple Espresso” lineup of Trinity Rodman, Sophia Wilson, and Mallory Swanson take
the field at the same time. But it isn’t just about those three reuniting on the field.
