Okay, this one is random.
No. 1–ranked Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan is set to compete in his fifth grappling match of 2025 when he collides with dangerous Middleweight
striker Shara Magomedov tomorrow (Tues., Dec. 30, 2025) in a submission-only (no decision) bout for Hype FC.
The unlikely pairing will go down inside Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex in Yerevan, Armenia — and ahead of fight night, the two UFC standouts squared off multiple times.

Despite competing in different weight classes inside the Octagon, both fighters weighed in at 185 pounds for the grappling match.
There’s also a very real incentive on the line besides a title. According to the fighters, a mini-side bet has been agreed upon: if Magomedov gets his hand raised, Tsarukyan will gift him an apartment in Armenia. If Tsarukyan wins, “Shara Bullet” must hand over his Rolex.
While the buildup has mostly been respectful, things briefly got heated at yesterday’s press conference after Tsarukyan accused Magomedov of avoiding him by delaying travel. Magomedov fired back with a deeply personal response.
“I came to the arena as soon as I landed, and I saw you were saying loud words about me—that doesn’t suit you,” Magomedov said during the presser. “You’re getting personal. You are talking about bravery and sport. I lived a different life. My understanding of fear is not the same as yours. I stole aluminum in my neighborhood so I can afford gloves for training. You lived a different life, brother. So don’t talk about me being afraid. Guys, like you are calling the police around me.”
Hype FC Armenia is scheduled to begin around 9:30 a.m. ET tomorrow.
