Per a release from the club website FCBayern.com, Bayern Munich youngster Maycon Cardozo has suffered a thigh injury and will be out for the ‘time being’:
Maycon Cardozo suffered a thigh muscle injury in FC Bayern Amateurs’ 1-0 win against DJK Vilzing on Easter Monday and will be sidelined for the time being. The 17-year-old Brazilian, who made his professional debut this season, had previously scored the game’s only goal.
Cardozo has made great strides this season, even working his way into the first
team. The youngster is expected to be in the mix for a first team roster position next season. If that does not work out, it could mean a loan spell for the young talent.
Regardless, Cardozo will need to get fully healthy to be in a position to think about being a serious candidate to play under Vincent Kompany. This is a hurdle to overcome, but the youngster has shown that he has the determination to put in the hard work needed.
