The United States Men’s National Team know where they will play for the home leg of the Concacaf Nations League quarterfinals. Today, U.S. Soccer announced that the USMNT will host the home leg at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati on November 17th, with kickoff set for 7:00pm ET.
“For our first official match of the new cycle, we couldn’t ask for a better host than Cincinnati. The Nations League is an important competition and a great opportunity to begin challenging the group in these types of matches,”
USMNT head coach Mauricio Pochettino said in a statement. “The fans in Cincinnati have always shown amazing support for the National Team when we needed them the most, and we look forward to the energy they will bring which is so important to our players.”
The match in Cincinnati will be the second leg of the quarterfinal series. The USMNT will face their opponent on the road on November 14th. The team will not learn their opponent until the League A group stage is completed on October 6th. The United States, by way of being second in the Concacaf rankings, will face the best runner-up from the two League A groups.
The two League A groups that will compete during the September-October window:
Group A – Costa Rica, Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago, Curaçao, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic
Group B – Honduras, Jamaica, Guatemala, Suriname, Martinique, El Salvador
The USMNT are unbeaten at TQL Stadium in four previous visits, including a 2-0 World Cup qualifying win over Mexico back in their first visit in 2021. The team also beat Morocco in a friendly in June 2022, beat Panama on penalties in the 2023 Gold Cup quarterfinals, and drew New Zealand 1-1 in their most recent visit in September 2024.
The USMNT hope to beat their Nations League opponent to advance to the Concacaf Nations League Finals in March at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The USMNT won the first three Concacaf Nations League tournaments before Mexico won the most recent edition in 2025.
