Roster moves
The
Arizona Diamondbacks made the following roster moves. The D-backs’ 40-man roster is at 40.
- Reinstated off the 15-day injured list: RHP Merrill Kelly (left intercostal nerve irritation)
- Selected from Triple-A Reno: C Aramis Garcia (No. 35)
- Placed on the 10-day injured list: C Gabriel Moreno (strained left oblique; retro to April 11)
- Transferred to the 60-day injured list: INF Pavin Smith (left elbow inflammation)
- Optioned to Reno following last night’s game: RHP Taylor Rashi
The team has finally bitten the bullet on the Gabriel Moreno situation, and called up Garcia to act as a backup to James McCann. Smith moves to the 60-day injured list to make room for Garcia on the 40-man roster.
