Tonight it was announced that the UNC women’s basketball team is the 4 seed in the Fort Worth region of the NCAA Tournament. The Heels will also host the first and second rounds of the tournament.
UNC finished their season with a 26-7 record, and they finished 14-4 in ACC play, which was good enough for third place. They only won one game against ranked teams this season, but that one game was against #12 Duke. In the ACC Tournament, the Heels were able to easily take down Virginia Tech, but their good fortune
ran out against Louisville in the Semifinals. The team looks to turn the page and try to make it to the Final Four for the first time since 2007, but will they have enough to get it done? They will give it their best shot starting this week.
UNC will start their NCAA Tournament journey against Western Illinois on Friday in Chapel Hill, NC. The game time has yet to be determined, but we will release more details once they are announced.
