Bayern Munich midfielder Tom Bischof recently had to change up his answer of the identity of the best player he has faced on the pitch. The youngster, who had started at Hoffenheim before moving to the German Rekordmeister, has now had a few Champions League matches under his belt — and seen the elite competition that comes with it.
“Until a few months ago, I would have answered Granit Xhaka,” Bischof relayed in a January interview for Frankfurter Allgemeine, as captured by @iMiaSanMia. “But since
our game against Paris Saint-Germain, I have to say: Vitinha.
“He orchestrates the entire game of PSG. He’s always moving, he never rests, he’s always available for a pass. He’s really difficult to play against.”
Bischof also named Vitinha, along with his Bayern teammate Joshua Kimmich, as his favorite players. The young Bayern midfielder has some excellent role models to shape his game after. And the common theme among all players he named — Kimmich, Xhaka, and Vitinha? Excellent passers. Bischof appears to be cut from the same cloth.
