Sam Darnold and the Seattle Seahawks have powered their way to a Super Bowl by taking down a pair of familiar foes they were familiar with and took full advantage of.
Drake Maye and the New England Patriots received handout after handout from their opponents. The Pats have been on the right side of the turnover battle in each game despite their offense struggling to move the ball with any consistency.
What will we see today? Relatively speaking, I’m expecting fireworks. It might be a slow start to the
game, but as the quarters go on, the scoring should pick up. Turnovers from both sides should contribute to points as well.
Neither team will re-invent the wheel in two weeks, so the main suspects will be front and center. Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Kenneth Walker supporting Darnold, while Stefon Diggs and Hunter Henry do the heavy-lifting for Maye.
The buzz around this game feels lower than it’s been since I can remember. We’ll see if that reflects the ratings. Let’s go with a prediction of 28-24, Patriots.
