The Chicago Bears and the Seattle Seahawks are both coming off prime-time Week 7 wins, and they’ll face each other under the lights in Week 8 on Monday Night Football. The (5-2) Bears knocked off the New England Patriots 30 to 24 on Thursday Night Football, while the (4-3) Seahawks just won 20 to 3 against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night.
Seattle’s defense did a number on quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense, holding them out of the red zone for the first time in Mahomes’ career.
They also stymied K.C. running back Kenneth Walker III, who was the league’s leading rusher heading into the week.
On offense, the Seahawks ran the ball 41 times for 153 yards, but wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who has looked unguardable again this season, popped off for 9 receptions, 150 yards, and a touchdown.
Our partners at FanDuel Sportsbook just put the odds up for the Monday night game in Seattle, and they have Chicago as the underdog at +3, with the money line at +144, and the over/under 46.5.
Earlier today, it was Bears +3 and the money line at +136, so for perspective on how the oddsmakers view the Bears, before the Sunday night Chiefs at Seattle game kicked off, the previously unbeaten Chiefs were at +3 and +136 on the money line.
The Bears just beat the defending AFC champion Patriots wire to wire in Soldier Field, but a trip northwest to face the defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks will be the Bears’ toughest test yet.
