Saturday night the Nebraska Volleyball team will face it’s toughest opponent of the season, when they meet with a young Wisconsin Badgers team.
The Huskers are hosting a “Black Out” at Bob Devaney. The game can be seen on FOX at 6pm on Saturday.

NCAA Tournament- Wisconsin defeated Eastern Illinois, North Carolina, Standford, and Texas and made it to the final four before losing to Kentucky in five sets.
Nebraska and Wisconsin have met 39 times.
Nebraska has a 24-14-1 lead in the series. Since joining the Big Ten Conference the Huskers and Badgers have met every year with them having a 13-13 tie in wins. Nebraska has won the last four matches.
Wisconsin has had a tough schedule this season playing 12 ranked opponents in the 15 matches they’ve had. Their last game was a 3-0 sweep of #24 Illinois on Thursday. The Badgers hit .361 on the match, holding Illinois to .176. They had 16 total blocks on the night.
Wisconsin is led by Junior setter Charlie Fuerbringer. She averages just over 11 assists per set and is one of the best setters in the country. She has 597 sets on the year and is a good leader on the floor for her young hitters.
Freshman outside hitter Audrey Flanagan leads the Badgers with 157 kills on the year. She averages 3.44 kills per set. She is also the ace leader for the Badgers with 17 aces on the year. She had 12 kills hitting .417 to lead the Badgers against Illinois.
Another notable freshman is sixteen year old outside hitter Decelise Champion. She is 6’6” tall and averages 3.12 kills per set. She also has 27 blocks on the year for the Badgers. Another outside hitter to watch is senior Eva Travis. Travis has 130 kills on the year.
On defense, freshman middle blocker Lynney Tarnow leads the way blocking with 55 blocks on the year. Another freshman, libero, Anna Bardaro leads the Badgers in kills. She has totaled 55 on the year. Sophomore DS Kristen Simon has 134 digs on the year and had some major saves for the Badgers in their win against Illinois on Thursday.
