If you thought the buildup to Texas A&M’s first ever College Football Playoff game on Dec. 20 at Kyle Field, couldn’t get any bigger, think again. On Wednesday, ESPN announced that College Gameday, the preeminent college football pregame show, will broadcast from Aggie Park leading up to A&M’s showdown with the Miami Hurricanes.
Gameday will also broadcast in Norman on Friday ahead of Oklahoma’s Friday night playoff game against Alabama. Both games will air on ABC.
Some people will point to Texas A&M’s abysmal record when College Gameday is in town, currently sitting at 1-11. We refer to those people as scaredy cats. Mike Elko and this A&M team are out to do what hasn’t been done here before – to defeat narratives – and the only way to do that is to confront them head-on. So don’t whine about previous Gameday defeats, relish the opportunity to prove that this team is different.
