Max Caster debuted for TNA at the Bound for Glory pay-per-view just one night ago. He did so with his usual schtick of freestyle rapping a few bars on his way to the ring. Perhaps trying to create a viral moment for himself in his first appearance in a new company, Caster dropped this line:
“This the firing squad, I drop bombs, you don’t even need to go to Riyadh.”
He lost the ensuing match, and TNA officials quickly scrubbed all videos of his rap from its social media accounts and various other online
channels. Not long after, reports started getting out that his time with the promotion was likely over.
TNA made it official a short while ago with a statement strongly condemning his actions and cutting all ties while offering an apology for ever letting his remarks make the air:
During Sunday’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view, insensitive comments were made by Max Caster referencing attacks in Riyadh that killed and injured many people.
Making light of violent attacks is wrong. This should never have made it into the show, and that responsibility is ours. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and everyone affected. We sincerely apologize.
We have removed the segment from replays and our social channels and are taking steps to ensure something like this never happens again.
Max Caster will no longer be wrestling for TNA.
That seems about right.
