When Nick Emmanwori was injured early in the Week 1 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, the fear was that the high ankle sprain suffered by the 2025 second round selection could land the athletic marvel on injured reserve.
However, after missing the Week 2 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday, according to Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald there is a shot that Emmanwori could practice ahead of the upcoming matchup against the New Orleans Saints.
That would certainly be good news for the Seahawks, especially given that there were fears Emmanwori could potentially miss several games.
Additional good news was provided on the status of Devon Witherspoon, who was also inactive for the victory over the Steelers after suffering a knee injury in the season opener.
How much the services of Witherspoon and Emmanwori will actually be necessary against the winless Saints is certainly something that could be worth debating, as New Orleans will bring one of the least potent offenses in the NFL to Lumen Field, averaging just 17.0 points per game through the first two weeks.
