Matt Cardona is always ready to lend a helping hand. That’s exactly what he did during the TNA World Tag Team Championship bout on Impact (Sept. 18, 2025).
Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy defended the gold against Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth in the main event of the evening. The challengers isolated Jeff. He created space on a Whisper in the Wind for the hot tag to his brother. Matt ran wild, but Nic weathered the storm to regain control on a Fameasser. The Nemeths were rolling with combo offense, then Nic landed
a flying elbow drop. Matt kicked out on the cover. The Nemeths dug into their bag of tricks for an attempt at shenanigans. That’s when Cardona came into play.
Ryan plotted to use the title belt as a foreign object. Cardona was on commentary, and he couldn’t allow that funny business on his watch. Cardona pulled Ryan out of the ring to hammer some blows. Nic saved his little brother to attack Cardona. Meanwhile, the Hardys cleaned house on Ryan for a Twist of Fate from Matt and a Swanton Bomb from Jeff for the win.
The Hardys remain TNA tag team champions. A showdown against Team 3D awaits one last time at Bound For Glory on October 12.
