MLW action returned on Saturday night (May 30, 2026) with a double serving of Fusion for the season premiere. It didn’t take long to set the table for title shots with Matt Riddle, Shotzi Blackheart, Austin Aries, and the Good Brothers getting in position for gold.
Fusion picked up from the events of Battle Riot VIII. Killer Kross was victorious to win the MLW World Heavyweight Championship. On Fusion, Kross held a press conference to announce an open challenge contract to anyone in the world. Be
warned though. Kross will give the people what they want and suplex the challenger on his f***ing head.
MLW built a little bit of drama during the show with Alexander Hammerstone raging out upon hearing that the contract was already signed.
The reveal was Matt Riddle. The Rude Dude is a former world champion in MLW, and he has unfinished business with Kross. Killer forced Riddle to tap out in his return match to MLW, and that set the wheels in motion to win the gold. Round 2 goes down in two weeks on Fusion (June 13). Riddle had a message as well. The Rude Dude is coming to take back the world title, and there is nothing Kross can do about it.
Over in the women’s division, Shotzi Blackheart continued her undefeated streak in MLW with a victory over Priscilla Kelly. Afterward, Shotzi called out Shoko Nakajima for a shot at the MLW Women’s World Featherweight Championship. Shoko’s time is up.
The Big Kaiju didn’t back down. She accepted the challenge, and that title bout airs next week on Fusion (June 6).
The Good Brothers engaged in fisticuffs with the Skyscrapers. Doc Gallows chokeslammed Donovan Dijak through a table. It only makes sense for this beef to boil into a match for the MLW World Tag Team Championship, which is held by Dijak and Bishop Dyer.
Also on tap, Austin Aries was fresh off a victory over Trevor Lee, then the Magician revealed his intention to challenge the legendary Blue Panther from CMLL for the MLW National Openweight Championship.
