Breece Hall will not be suiting up for the New York Jets when they take on the Las Vegas Raiders today. Hall will be inactive for the fifth consecutive week after he suffered a quadriceps injury against the Detroit Lions in the Jets’ third game of the 2026 season. The Jets are hopeful Hall will finally get back into the lineup next week against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Hall’s absence has created an opportunity for Braelon Allen at running back, and Allen has taken full advantage. In the four games
Allen has started in Hall’s absence this season Allen has put together two 100+ rushing yards games. Overall, Allen has averaged 4.6 yards per carry this season while already posting career highs in rushing yards with 418 and yards from scrimmage with 493. Allen has arguably been a more effective back than Hall, and he has presumably earned a larger role in the Jets’ offense even when Hall is back in the lineup.
The full Jets inactive list for today’s game is as follows:
Breece Hall
David Bailey
Joseph Ossai
Nahshon Wright
Tim Patrick
Kohl Levao
Max Mitchell
Notable among those names is Nahshon Wright. Wright signed with the Jets in the offseason after earning a Pro Bowl nod last year with the Chicago Bears. Unfortunately that signing has not worked out for Wright or the Jets. Wright has been active for just three games for the Jets. He has played just 22 snaps, all on special teams. It probably would behoove the Jets to move Wright at the trade deadline, assuming there is any market for him.
