Here’s a bit of a surprising claim to kick off what’s expected to be a very busy week in the transfer window, as Nicolas Jackson has supposedly agreed personal terms with Bayern Munich.
While Jackson is indeed expected to be leaving the club, he’s been linked mostly with other Premier League sides, such as Newcastle United and Aston Villa. Bayern meanwhile had been linked with the other Chelsea forward likely to be leaving this week, Christopher Nkunku. I guess it’s a bit of an all-you-can-eat transfer
buffet; just grab whatever you like!
Granted, the sourcing here, from Christian Falk at Sport Bild, isn’t the best but at the very least, perhaps it’ll spur the other teams into action so that we can sort out Jackson’s (and Nkunku’s) situation sooner rather than in the final minutes of Transfer Deadline Day.
Is that too much to ask? Probably.
Oh, and Bayern are apparently looking for a loan only, which … I guess is okay if we still believe that Jackson could yet become the serious and consistent striker that we wanted him to be.
