Tommy Edman was limited to just 97 games over the regular season, requiring two separate stints on the injured list as he dealt with right ankle inflammation and later a right ankle sprain.
Dodgers general manager Brandon Gomes told Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic that Edman will be undergoing right ankle surgery
next week, with the expectation that the utility man will be ready around the start of spring training.Edman got off to a powerful start to the season, smashing eight home runs over his first 24 games while registering a .576 slugging percentage. Just as quick as he found his power from both sides of the plate, it vanished over his next six games where he slashed just .158/.261/.263 before landing on the injured list on May 3. He returned to the lineup on May 18 and was a shell of himself offensively over the middle months of the season, slashing just .214/.273/.323 with only four home runs and 20 RBI over his next 56 games.
Edman was once again placed on the injured list on Aug. 4, where he missed over a month of time before returning on Sept. 10. He remained healthy through the remainder of the regular season and the entirety of the postseason. He finished his 2025 season with a .225/.274/.382 slash line with 13 home runs— yet again tying his career high— and 49 RBI with a wRC+ of 81.
