Deebo Samuel’s injury makes Brandin Cooks next man up at WR: 49ers minutia minute (paywall)
“Colby had his roughest game of the year, allowing a team-high six quarterback pressures. His main opponent, Byron Murphy II, had two sacks. Colby allowed one of the two, although Purdy was forced to step forward into the second. That is, Colby wasn’t beaten on that particular play.
Williams, meanwhile, didn’t allow a quarterback pressure for the second straight game. Per Pro Football Focus, he’s allowed five

Kyle Shanahan shares 49ers updates one day after beating Seahawks
“It doesn’t surprise me with Raheem. I’ve just been around him for too long. He’s one of the best people and best coaches I’ve ever been around. I tried to bring him here originally when I left Atlanta. They wouldn’t let him out. So, it’s been a long time coming to get him here. He’s done an unbelievable job this year, especially with the injuries, but just overall everything he’s mixed up schematically. I love the confidence he’s given our DBs and the way they’ve been playing since training camp. He’s had a real huge effect on this team and we’re very lucky to have him.”
49ers vs. Seahawks PFF grades: Best and worst from the game, plus snap counts
“Rookie linebacker Jaden Dugger tied Seahawks linebacker Ernest Jones IV for the game’s highest tackling grade at 80.8.”
49ers’ Deebo Samuel to miss ‘some time’ with hamstring injury, per Kyle Shanahan
“Veteran receiver Demarcus Robinson is eligible to return off injured reserve for the 49ers’ Week 7 game against the Atlanta Falcons. More likely, Robinson could rejoin the team in Week 9 after the bye week.”
15 Winners, 5 losers, and 1 IDK from the 49ers’ statement win over the Seahawks
“I’m torn about Purdy’s performance. I thought you could pin at least one sack and a couple of the pressures on the quarterback. He sprayed the ball and missed a couple of receivers. He was late and inaccurate on a throw to Jacob Cowing because he didn’t read the coverage correctly.
Purdy finished 21st in success rate for Week 5 and 19th in EPA per play. So, including the Mike Evans drive, he was still statistically below average. For three quarters, Brock seemed content to throw underneath. Despite nearly 60% of his throws coming underneath 10 yards, Purdy’s on-target percentage was good for 24th this week, sandwiched between Jalen Hurts and Daniel Jones. Purdy was only 2-for-6 for five yards against the blitz.
But he made plays out of structure that kept drives alive, starting with the first, when he found Evans along the sideline before connecting in the end zone. It would’ve been easy for Purdy to tuck his tail and be conservative after his interception. Instead, he remained the aggressor.”
