Mike Perry, the face of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), may be in trouble.
Inside the squared circle itself, Perry has been flawless, racking up a 6-0 professional record and winning the symbolic
“King of Violence” championship. Outside of actual competition, however, Perry has always been a bit of a loose cannon. He was even arrested and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) just last year not long after securing the biggest paycheck of his career in a one-sided boxing match to Jake Paul (watch highlights).
Unfortunately, there’s been an issue with Perry’s purse. According to “Platinum,” his accountant failed to set aside a portion of that sizable sum for taxes. Now, Perry is six-figures in the hole with no good options. Per the iron-chinned slugger, he’s ready to do whatever is necessary to fix the issue, whether that’s a short stay in prison or falling off the grid completely.
“I’m retiring though,” Perry began on The Overdogs Podcast. “They not letting me be rich. They’re like, ‘You thought you was rich? Give us everything you have.’ Wow. Now was the time I was supposed to have the money. Somebody dropped the ball! My accountant goes, ‘Hey Mike, we just saw the Jake Paul money.’ B—ch what do you mean you just saw it?!? It’s been there.”
Somebody dropped the ball bro. I owe everything to them. I’m ready to sell everything, take all of it out of the bank, hide it, and either go to prison for a little bit or just get off the grid.“
In the highly likely event that Perry’s request to President Trump for a tax pardon doesn’t pay off, “Platinum” needs to get a fight booked and get these taxes paid down! Perry recently smashed Jeremy Stephens (highlights) and surely was paid well for his efforts, but maybe there’s a reason he’s also teasing a UFC comeback and called out Nate Diaz for a gloved boxing match.
Hopefully, this doesn’t mean the end of his Dirty Boxing promotion either, because those DBX events have been fun!
