Most Valuable Promotions has announced its signing of Olympic super heavyweight bronze medalist Nelvie Tiafack ahead of his promotional debut on their September 27th Sol Cudos vs Kim Clavel show in Montreal.
The Cameroon-born, Germany-based Tiafack (1-0, 1 KO) defeated Azerbaijan’s Mahammad Abdullayev and Italy’s Diego Lenzi before falling to tournament favorite Bakhodir Jalolov in the semifinals. He made his professional debut this past July, handing professional victim Jakub Sosinski his eleventh
consecutive defeat via second-round stoppage.
26 years old, built like a refrigerator, and possessing a pro-friendly style, he tells Sky Sports that he wants to advance quickly through the heavyweight ranks. Per BoxRec, that run begins against Ramiro Edwin Robles (5-0, 3 KO), who’s yet to beat an opponent with a winning record but did apparently drop 30 pounds in just over three months for his last fight.
Knowing MVP’s willingness to put its prospects through the fire, we can expect him to get his wish. Definitely worth keeping your eye on.
