Welcome to the first-ever fan vote for the Gallery of Good, our way to celebrate those Florida State players who weren’t program-defining legends but were still important, memorable, and, well… good.
This isn’t for the Jameis Winstons, Dalvin Cooks, or Charlie Wards of the world. They’ve already got their place in Seminoles history. If they made our original Mount Rushmore list back in 2023, they’re not eligible for the Gallery of Good, which is instead for the guys you bring up years later in conversation
and say: “You know what? He was good.”
Think of guys who are kind of in the role of multi-year starters, role players, or specialists who were solid and memorable. Did they have a game where they made you go “Huh. He’s pretty good”? That’s the kind of talent we want.
A couple of examples I can give you in the modern era: K Ryan Fitzgerald (2019-24), QB Chris Rix (2001-04), and maybe even a guy like Kalen DeLoach (2019-23).
In any case, it’s up to you to enshrine someone, anyone, in this truly illustrious hall. Er, sorry. Gallery.
The top four players from each position group, as selected by the community, will be enshrined as part of the inaugural class, setting a new standard for Florida State’s pretty greats to aim for.
