The Cleveland Cavaliers are back on the road after a one-game stint at home to face the Detroit Pistons. The Cavaliers, through three games, definitely are looking to put the pieces together. The balance of incorporating new faces, while also figuring out rotations without two key players, seems to show growing pains through three games.

The Pistons appear to be
one of the bigger opponents the Cavaliers will face in the Eastern Conference this season. Similar to the Cavaliers they have started the season 2-1, coming off the heels of a win against the Celtics, both teams will look to continue to start the season on the right foot.
Like Cavs fans have seen, the J.B. Bickerstaff led Pistons have an identity to impose height and length on their opponents. This could spell some rough offensive sequences for the Cavaliers, who are running smaller in the backcourt with Donovan Mitchell and Sam Merrill.
How the Cavaliers decide to defend Pistons’ star Cade Cunningham is another focal point of this game. Cunningham poses a threat with his Doncic-lite offensive engine type of play. If the Cavaliers can find ways to slow down Cade, then the Pistons offense will falter enough for the Cavaliers to find the answers offensively. Cunningham is currently averaging 23 pts, 9 assists, and 5.7 rebounds a game through three games.
