The Washington Commanders are 1-4-1 after a Week 6 loss to the 49ers that saw the team come back from a 20-point deficit, but still fall short of the win. The team has been on their bye week, licking their wounds, adding coaching help, and trying to figure out how to right the ship. They are currently 2.5 games behind the Giants, who defeated the Texans in overtime earlier today. The Cowboys and Eagles both have 2-4 records and will meet tomorrow night in Philadelphia on Monday Night Football.
The
Commanders will be home, and playing at Northwest Stadium for only the third time this season when they host the Eagles for Sunday Night Football in Week 8. This has been one of the hardest opening schedules I can remember, with the team starting the season with two road division games, hosting the Super Bowl champs, another division game, and international game, then a road game primetime game against the #1 team in the NFC. The Eagles have had their own troubles this year, and will be without Jalen Hurts for the rest of the season due to blood clots in his lungs. They are also dealing with injuries to their two top playmakers, and their offensive line is a lot different from when the teams met in Philly in Week 1.
