Meet the Mets
The Mets small win streak came to an end in a frustrating manner in D.C. Kodai Senga looked great to start the game but then the wheels came off when Luis Torrens was called for catcher’s interference. He gave up two runs that inning and then two more the following inning. The Mets got one back on a Brett Baty home run, before Senga gave up another run which proved to be the difference. Jeff McNeil’s big hit bought the team to within one but Luis Torrens’s brutal day continued when he grounded out
into a double play to end the game. Get well soon Alvy.
