Happy Monday, everyone, and a belated Happy Mother’s Day to all the BCB moms out there. We have a couple of big bits of news from over the weekend. The biggest is likely the unexpected May trade that sent Patrick Bailey from the Giants to the Cleveland Guardians. There has, naturally, been a fair bit of discourse about what this means for the Giants’ struggling season, and if the Guardians are the clear winners of this deal. Also, just general discourse about the craziness of a May trade.
The other
big story over the weekend is the passing of former Braves manager Bobby Cox. This comes right on the heels of the passing of former Braves owner Ted Turner, so it has been a rough week for Braves fans.
We’ve got that and more little tidbits from around baseball for you to sink your teeth into, so let’s just jump right into it.
